Overview: Up for sale is an incredible 1948 oil painting on board depicting a rocky coastal seascape scene. It is signed "S. E. Abbott" (possibly "S. C.") and dated (appears to read '48) at lower right. Framed in an interesting distressed wood frame. I haven't found any matching artists by this name, but the piece is stunning, and clearly painted by a talented artist. I have a few other paintings by this artist which I have listed (and are dated 1946 and 1950, respectively).
Condition: Painting is in very good condition. There is a small black mark near center, as pictured. Frame shows minor wear.
Measurements: Painting measures 12 inches wide x 9 inches high. Frame measures approximately 14.75 inches wide x 11.75 inches high.
